On Sunday, October 30, 1938, millions of radio listeners were shocked when radio news alerts announced the arrival of Martians. They panicked when they learned of the Martians’ ferocious and seemingly unstoppable attack on Earth. Many ran out of their homes screaming while others packed up their cars and fled.
Though what the radio listeners heard was a portion of Orson Welles’ adaptation of the well-known book, War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells, many of the listeners believed what they heard on the radio was real

Why is there no point uploading this broadcast here, just because it is available at the Internet Archive? It is also available at various Old Time Radio sites, and neither of those, nor this site charge for the download.
That being the case, and an interested person being here, why should they not upload it at this most handy site?

This is that this is a P2P torrent website. You aren’t “uploading [the file] to a site”. It’s the downloaders who host the file.
Same as it’s completely stupid to torrent Librivox audiobooks.
Pushing freely available files here only reduces the capacity for books that aren’t easily available elsewhere.
